Alzheimer’s Education Series: 10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer’s
St. Paul Elder Services (SPES) is partnering with the Alzheimer’s Association to offer a free education series on Alzheimer’s. The series will include four programs on different topics related to living with or caring for someone with dementia. SPES and the Alzheimer’s Association have a collaborative relationship to support those affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia. SPES fully embraces the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association – to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia through global research, risk reduction, early detection and quality care. This educational series is offered as part of Passages, a SPES memory care program, which provides a continuum of care and respite support for any care partner or person living with dementia, including community-based support services. The first session, “Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia” will be held on Monday, October 3 from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm. The series will continue Mondays from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm through October 24. All programs will be held at the Hoffman Memory Care Resource Center at St. Paul Elder Services in Kaukauna. The entrance is located at 221 E 13th Street (map). These events are free, but participants must register for each session by calling 800-272-3900. Participants are not required to attend all sessions in the series. A box dinner will be included for all attendees.
