Expera Specialty Solutions and The Heart of the Valley Chamber of Commerce have partnered to bring our membership the best collection training anywhere!
OK, here it is: the most important skill of collection work -- and something you'll rarely hear about -- is the ability to truly listen. Yes, listen.
Sharpening Your Collection Skills," which concentrates on listening and negotiation skills, and collection techniques, including overcoming objections.
By convincing customers to pay, collectors are actually protecting those customers' businesses in the long run. They are helping prevent short-term payment problems from becoming chronic issues, which eventually disrupt and destroy their supplier relations. Good collectors focus on obtaining the money while maintaining the goodwill of the customer.
John Zimmer firmly believes that the "soft skills" (in particular, listening and negotiation, and overcoming objections) taught in his seminar are the key to success. John has addressed, conducted training programs and seminars for many trade groups and major corporations in the US and abroad.
