Inspire Will Help Businesses Connect with Local Students
We are excited to announce the launch of a collaborative partnership between education and employers in Calumet and Outagamie Counties. The program aims to build awareness of career and employment opportunities within the region. Inspire CO will engage and inform local students, educators and parents about the career opportunities and training options available within the region.
In Wisconsin, the expectation is that every student who graduates from high school will be academic and career ready by participating in the Academic and Career Planning (ACP) program in middle and high school. Inspire is a new statewide program that compliments ACP efforts by helping to directly connect students and businesses. It will provide students with meaningful career experiences, so they graduate with an inspiring and realistic idea of which path to pursue upon graduation.
Local school districts in Calumet and Outagamie Counties are preparing to implement the cloud-based platform during the upcoming spring semester, and into the 2019-2020 school year. We invite you to attend an educational seminar at the Chamber office on Wednesday, January 30th from 8am-9am. This meeting will give our businesses, community leaders and school leaders a first look at how they will be able to connect with students in the school districts across Calumet and Outagamie Counties. This platform will have the capability for you to create a marketing profile page with videos, communicate as a career coach with students interested in learning about your industry, receive metrics regarding industry interest, connect with educators and promote apprenticeship and school to work opportunities to grow talent for your organization.
