The Heart of the Valley Chamber of Commerce along with the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce and Industry will host a breakfast meeting with Congressman Reid Ribble and Dr. Douglas Holtz-Eakin. This meeting will keep our business and community members abreast of the impact of regulations on a local, state and federal level. Both chambers work with our legislators to decrease these regulations that inhibit small businesses' growth.
Dr. Holtz-Eakin has a distinguished record as an academic, policy adviser, and strategist. Currently, he is the President of the American Action Forum and most recently was a Commissioner on the Congressionally-chartered Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission.
Holtz-Eakin also served two Presidents as Senior Staff Economist, and Chief Economist of the President's Council of Economic Advisers. At CEA he helped to formulate policies addressing the 2000-2001 recession and the aftermath of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
He has clear insight on how regulations threaten future growth and the need for Pro-Growth Corporate Tax Reform. What is happening in Wisconsin right now will impact our nation for years. Come and join us for a discussion on how our issues mirror the nation.
Cost to attend is $20.00 per person and includes breakfast. Registration begins at 7am, breakfast at 7:30am, program at 8am.
