SUMMARY:Non-Profit Roundtable Group - What does Continuous Improvement Have to Do with Reducing Poverty
DESCRIPTION:In 2016 funders\, nonprofits\, service providers and community volunteers in NE Wisconsin embarked on a journey to understand how learning continuous improvement methodologies might improve and catalyze our collective efforts to reduce poverty in NE Wisconsin.  Come learn about the POINT initiative\, what we've learned so far\, and where we're headed.  \n\n\n\nPresentation by: Lynn Coriano\, - Poverty Initiative Project Director\, US Venture.\n\nAs the Poverty Outcomes Improvement Network Team (POINT) Project Director\, Lynn works collaboratively with place-based funders\, service providers\, nonprofits and community volunteers to explore new ways of working together to reduce poverty in NE Wisconsin.  Prior to joining POINT\, Lynn was based in Seattle where she spent the last 20 years working in leadership positions in the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors.  Most recently she was the Deputy Director at Social Venture Partners Seattle\, a nonprofit foundation based on the venture capital model of investing.  In this role she oversaw a multi-pronged community investment strategy that included combining unrestricted funding with skilled volunteers and consultants to advance nonprofit multi-year capacity building projects.  Lynn holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Washington and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Syracuse University.
